Arrival and check-in day at Hotel Diego in Santa Bàrbara (Montsià), the trip's base. Bike assembly, group welcome and dinner at Restaurant Diego before the three riding stages begin. No cycling route today.

The opening stage starts and finishes at Hotel Diego, climbing into the foothills of the Ports de Tortosa-Beseit and the Montsià massif. A demanding loop past the Sant Antoni-Lloret-la Galera ravines, reaching 497 m of maximum altitude.

The longest stage of the trip, and completely flat, riding into the Ebro Delta Natural Park: rice paddies, La Tancada lagoon, flamingos and the river mouth. A fast-paced day with the wind as the only real obstacle.
