About the race

The Absa Cape Epic is the world's most prestigious mountain bike stage race and is classified hors catégorie by the UCI. The 23rd edition takes place from 21 to 28 March 2027 in South Africa's Western Cape: a prologue and seven stages, 701 km and 17,150 m of climbing, always raced in teams of two. The route starts at Lourensford Wine Estate (Somerset West), runs through Ceres and Saronsberg (Tulbagh) and finishes at Imbuko Wines (Wellington).

Massage Service ABSA Cape Epic

Daily massage service for Absa Cape Epic riders. Includes a pre-stage warm-up massage and a 45-minute post-stage recovery massage, from registration day until the start of the final stage. No massage is provided after the final stage. Our physiotherapists use hot and cold creams, kinesiotape, bandages, and other treatments according to each rider’s needs, ensuring optimal recovery and maximum performance throughout the race. Service subject to possible adjustments depending on race circumstances.

Mechanical Service Cape Epic

Our mechanical service is designed to keep your bike performing at its best throughout the Absa Cape Epic — worry-free and with the confidence of being supported by experienced professionals. The service includes: Initial setup and tuning: The service begins on registration day (race number collection). We assemble your bike, check every component, and make sure it’s perfectly tuned for the start of the race. Pre-stage assistance: Each morning we carry out a quick inspection and final adjustments — tire and suspension pressure checks, lubrication, and a full pre-ride setup to ensure optimal performance. Post-stage assistance: After each stage, we wash, lubricate, and inspect your bike thoroughly. Any issues or mechanical problems are fixed so that your bike is ready in perfect condition for the next day’s stage. Final packing (optional): After the last stage, at our Cape Town hotel, we can dismantle and pack your bike for your trip home if needed. Conditions: All labor, as well as cleaning and lubrication products, are included in the service. Any replacement parts or materials will be billed separately, as will repairs involving suspensions, dropper posts, or carbon frames. The service is subject to a minimum number of participants and possible changes due to race circumstances. Exact schedules and service locations will be communicated a few days before the start of the event. Important: The service price will increase by €30 on January 1st and by an additional €30 on February 1st. We recommend booking early to secure your spot and maintain the current price.

Pack Cape Epic Luxury

Live the Absa Cape Epic in maximum comfort: you always sleep away from the camp, in good hotels and in a luxury house, and we take care of everything except the riding. Includes: - 5 hotel nights, bed and breakfast, shared double room: 2 nights at Erinvale (March 19th and 20th) and 3 nights in Paarl (March 26th to 29th). The Erinvale hotel is just 100 m from bib pick-up and the prologue, and the Paarl hotel is very close to the camp. - 5 nights (March 21st to 26th) in a luxury house in Tulbagh, 30 minutes from the camp. It is a shared house with shared bedrooms. Breakfast and dinner included. - Airport → Erinvale hotel transfer on March 19th (or on your arrival day if you book extra nights). - Erinvale hotel → Tulbagh house transfer, on March 21st. - Daily transport between the house and the camp. - Vehicle from the camp to the Paarl hotel, from March 26th to 28th. - Paarl hotel → airport transfer, on March 29th. - Mechanical service in the paddock. - Massage service from March 20th to 27th (none after the final stage). Price per person in a shared room. Until 30/11/2026: €3,690. From 1/12/2026: €3,790. From 15/01/2027: €3,890.

Pack DUAL Experience Cape Epic

Live the Absa Cape Epic with the best of both worlds: quality hotels and the experience of sleeping at the race camp. We take care of accommodation, transfers, mechanical service and massage. Includes: - 5 hotel nights, bed and breakfast, shared double room: 2 nights at Erinvale (March 19th and 20th) and 3 nights in Paarl (March 26th to 29th). The Erinvale hotel is just 100 m from bib pick-up and the prologue, and the Paarl hotel is very close to the camp. - 5 nights in a tent at the race camp (March 21st to 26th). - Airport → Erinvale hotel transfer on March 19th (or on your arrival day if you book extra nights). - Erinvale hotel → first race camp in Ceres transfer, on March 21st. - Vehicle from the camp to the Paarl hotel, from March 26th to 28th. - Paarl hotel → airport transfer, on March 29th. - Mechanical service during the race. - Massage service during the race. PACK MASQUEBICI – ABSA CAPE EPIC

Live the Absa Cape Epic thinking only about riding: we take care of accommodation and transfers. Includes: - 2 nights at Erinvale (March 19th and 20th), bed and breakfast, shared double room. The hotel is just 100 m from bib pick-up and the prologue. - 1 night in Paarl (March 28th), bed and breakfast, shared double room. - Airport → Erinvale hotel transfer on March 19th (or on your arrival day if you book extra nights). - Erinvale hotel → first race camp in Ceres transfer, on March 21st. - Race finish → Paarl hotel transfer, on March 28th. - Paarl hotel → airport transfer, on March 29th. Price per person in a shared double room. The price increases on December 1st and January 15th: book early.

VIP Tent Cape Epic

It includes: - The space inside the Supporter Village where we will pitch the tent and have electricity. - Tent of 3 metres X 3 metres and 2.10 metres high for each couple. It is a tent for 4 people that we will use for 2 people. - Two 190*63 safari beds (you must bring your sleeping bag), two safari chairs and a table per tent. - Own light in each tent with sockets for your gps, phones, etc. - Access to the toilets in the ‘Supporter Village’. - Transport of the Cape Epic suitcase from camp to camp without having to move it, just leave it in front of the tent and we will carry it for you. - Common rest areas next to the masseurs and mechanics. We call it the MASQUEBICI camp. At each camp you will find the tents set up and the luggage near the tent. It is important to understand that the tents cannot be locked and we cannot be held responsible for this as our priority is the mechanic and massage service. The price is per tent, not per person.
